1. ABOUT HOGGL

Hoggl is a peer-to-peer marketplace operated by The 4th Principle Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales. Hoggl enables parents and guardians to buy and sell pre-loved children's items directly with one another.

By using the Hoggl app, you agree to these Terms and Conditions in full. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. ELIGIBILITY

To use Hoggl, you must:

• Be aged 18 or over

• Be a resident of the United Kingdom

• Provide accurate and complete information when creating an account

Hoggl is intended for the sale of children's items only. By listing an item, you confirm it is appropriate for this purpose.

3. YOUR ACCOUNT

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately at info@the4thprinciple.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently or inappropriately.

4. BUYING ON HOGGL

4.1 Making a purchase

When you purchase an item on Hoggl, you are entering into a direct contract with the seller. Hoggl acts as the marketplace platform and facilitates the transaction but is not a party to the sale itself.

4.2 Buyer protection

Every purchase made through Hoggl is covered by our buyer protection policy. If an item does not arrive, or is significantly not as described, you are entitled to raise a dispute and we will mediate between you and the seller to reach a fair resolution.

Buyer protection does not apply to:

• Items collected in person outside of the Hoggl platform

• Transactions conducted outside the Hoggl app

• Change of mind returns

4.3 Fees

A small buyer protection fee is added at checkout. This fee is clearly shown before you confirm any purchase.

5. SELLING ON HOGGL

5.1 Listing items

By listing an item on Hoggl, you confirm that:

• You are the rightful owner of the item

• The item is accurately described and photographs are a true representation of its condition

• The item is legal to sell in the United Kingdom

• The item is appropriate for children

Hoggl reserves the right to remove any listing that we consider inappropriate, misleading, or in breach of these terms.

5.2 Prohibited items

The following items must not be listed on Hoggl:

• Items subject to safety recalls

• Items that do not meet UK safety standards for children's products

• Counterfeit or replica goods

• Anything illegal to sell under UK law

5.3 Payments

Payments are processed securely via Stripe. Funds are held until the buyer confirms receipt and satisfaction. Hoggl will release payment to the seller following successful completion of the transaction.

Sellers are responsible for ensuring their Stripe account details are accurate and up to date. Hoggl accepts no liability for misdirected payments resulting from incorrect account information.

6. SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

Sellers are responsible for dispatching items promptly and in appropriate packaging. Estimated dispatch times are displayed on each listing.

Hoggl provides integrated shipping via our chosen carrier. Sellers must use the label provided through the app. Items sent outside of this system are not covered by buyer protection.

Risk of loss or damage passes to the buyer once an item has been collected by the carrier and a valid tracking reference has been issued.

7. DISPUTES

If a dispute arises between a buyer and a seller, both parties should first attempt to resolve the matter directly through Hoggl's messaging system.

If a resolution cannot be reached, either party may escalate the dispute to Hoggl. We will review the available evidence and make a determination that we consider fair and reasonable. Our decision is final.

8. PROHIBITED CONDUCT

You must not use Hoggl to:

• Conduct transactions outside of the platform to avoid fees or buyer protection

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users

• Provide false or misleading information in listings or communications

• Attempt to manipulate reviews or feedback

• Use automated tools to access or scrape the platform

9. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content, branding, and technology forming part of the Hoggl platform is owned by or licensed to The 4th Principle Ltd. You must not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the platform without our prior written consent.

10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Hoggl is a marketplace platform. We are not the buyer or seller of any item listed on the platform and accept no liability for the quality, safety, legality, or accuracy of any listing.

To the fullest extent permitted by UK law, The 4th Principle Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of the platform.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11. PRIVACY

Your privacy is important to us. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details of how we collect, use, and store your personal data. By using Hoggl, you consent to the processing of your data as described in that policy.

12. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes via the app or by email. Continued use of Hoggl following notification of changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.

13. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
